You will play an important role in shaping backend architecture, defining clear APIs between services, and ensuring our platform remains robust, secure, and efficient in a high-growth FinTech environment. We're looking for someone who wants to help transform a high-performing fintech platform into a billion-dollar business. **WHAT CAN KREDITZ OFFER** - A once-in-a-lifetime growth journey, from startup to Global scaleup - A journey where _everyone_ in the team plays a crucial role for our company’s success - Fun-loving, driven, and passionate colleagues who support each other’s success - A culture that celebrates progress, humility, and teamwork - We win _together_ - 24/7 access to gym, sauna and sports facilities at our office, plus additional wellness allowance - Competitive base salary **RESPONSIBILITES** Some of the main responsibilities you will cover: - Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs - Define and evolve backend architecture, including service boundaries and API contracts between microservices - Build and deploy services on AWS using ECS, Fargate, and Service Connect. - Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to design scalable, maintainable solutions. - Implement and maintain automated tests and CI/CD pipelines. - Work with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda) for event processing. - Perform code reviews and contribute hands-on to projects. - Leverage AI agents and tools to enhance development workflows and productivity. - Document system architecture, development processes, and integrations. **WE ARE LOOKING FOR** A motivated and skilled Backend Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You have strong backend fundamentals and architectural thinking, and you enjoy designing systems that scale. We believe that you have: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience. - **5+ years** of experience in backend development. - Experience with **Go** (or willingness to pick it up quickly) - Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS ( **ECS, Fargate, Service Connect** ) - **Strong experience in API design** ( **REST and/or gRPC** ) and defining service contracts ( **OpenAPI** ) - Experience designing backend architectures in microservice-based systems - Experience with Infrastructure as Code ( **Terraform** ). - Familiarity with containerization ( **Docker/Podman** ). - Familiarity with messaging and event-driven systems ( **SQS, SNS** ) - Experience with databases like **PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB.** - Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools ( **CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, X-Ray** ). - Proficiency with **Git** and version control workflows. - **Excellent English** communication skills (Swedish _is a plus_). - Interest in using **AI agents and tools** as part of daily development work Nice to have: - _Experience with Ruby on Rails and/or Python_ - _Experience working in FinTech or other regulated environments_ **WHY JOIN NOW?** At Kreditz, you'll have the opportunity to work in a cutting-edge, fast-growing FinTech company that's redefining the credit scoring industry.
